About the doctor

Dr. Mark Currington, D.C.

Chiropractor and clinic owner in Dallas for more than 20 years, with a special emphasis on restoring the spine’s natural curves and on non-surgical care for disc problems.

Dr. Mark Currington

Dr. Currington is a Texas native from Lubbock. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology at Texas Tech University and his Doctor of Chiropractic at Parker University, and he has lived in the Dallas area for about 25 years with his family of three children.

As owner of his own practice for more than two decades, he has treated a wide range of joint and spine problems. Two areas get special attention. The first is Chiropractic BioPhysics (CBP), a structural approach that uses X-ray and posture analysis to plan adjustments, traction and targeted exercise aimed at restoring the spine’s normal curves and reducing scoliosis curves where possible. The second is spinal decompression for disc bulges, herniations and degenerative low back problems, using a Lordex decompression table.

He also uses dry needling and shockwave therapy, and works alongside a physician and a licensed massage therapist, so care that goes beyond chiropractic can be planned in the same clinic.

How he practices

Treat the cause, not just the symptom.

  • Find the cause first

Symptoms tell you where it hurts, not why. Every plan starts with a real history and exam, and X-rays when they will change what we do.

  • Measure, then correct

With Chiropractic BioPhysics, the goal is change you can see: spinal curves measured before and during care, not just how you feel that day.

  • Conservative before invasive

Medication and surgery have their place. Good conservative care, from decompression to rehab, should get a fair try first when it is safe to do so.

  • Make it last

Adjustments work best with strengthening, better habits and sometimes weight loss. You leave with things to do at home, not just another appointment.
